Utilizing coaching tactics is not an approach that can be used in every situation you may encounter, nor is it a one size fits all tool for success, but what it can do is help people think through situations and build skills to do so effectively. In turn, it allows people to develop their own answers with support from the person who is coaching them.
This is what Spring Dell staff learned during two separate 2 1/2 hour in-service sessions on March 15th, provided by Creative Options’ Executive Director Monica McCall and Alex Greenland of Greenland and Associates. Each went over techniques to help people learn about a coaching mindset and approaches that will propel the organization towards a direction of providing person-centered supports.
