For almost a year, Spring Dell Supported Employment representatives have been working with one of Leadership Southern Maryland’s (LSM) teams to develop a plan that will educate local businesses about employment placements in the community. The opportunity was provided through a grant, which allowed a team of various industry leaders to gather and establish a plan that would entice local businesses to join Spring Dell staff in their mission to provide opportunities for people with disabilities through employment or training. The LSM team presented the strategy to peers of the 2017 LSM class marking this month as the conclusion of the program.
As a result, Spring Dell received a new Employer Engagement Marketing Plan that will educate local businesses on the benefits of hiring people with disabilities, in addition to enticing them to consider hiring program participants for open positions. Thank you to the LSM team for all of their hard work and dedication.
