Spring Dell is excited to be a part of a dynamic group of professionals, working as a team to find new ways agency representatives can approach employers about hiring a workforce encompassing a variety of abilities. The agency was selected to receive a grant from Leadership Southern Maryland (LSM), which provides four LSM participants from different industries the opportunity to come together and create an employment marketing plan. The plan will focus on enticing employers to partner with Spring Dell Center in an effort to connect people with disabilities to the community and employment. The group met on Tuesday, September 13th to solidify team participants, as well as talk about outcomes and approaches taken to persuade employers to come on board. The team will continue to work with one another in an effort to finalize an employment strategy by May 2017. When complete, the team will have to present their accomplishments to the 2017 LSM class.
